What We're Reading Now

Messy, Complicated, Wonderful People Stuff

29 April 2014

Allison watched a 90-second animated video about what we do at Allison Partners. Many thanks to Greg Brozenske of UN-reality.com for explaining exactly what it means to help with messy, complicated, wonderful people stuff.

This week we’re one of the Gold Sponsors of the Virginia Society of Human Resource Management (VA SHRM) conference at The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia. We’re enjoying learning and networking with 600+ colleagues, and we also got to reveal our new sponsorship booth.

Participants have responded nicely to our new sign highlighting some of the words (that) matter to us. If you’ve visited our office you’ll find these words and more on the hallway wall. You also might enjoy this blog post Rachel wrote last year explaining why we think words are so important. We’re also giving away new notecards with our words to people who visit the booth.

It’s so much fun to have all this new collateral to help us tell our story, but there’s nothing I’m prouder of than the animation Greg Brozenske created for us to share with participants during the general session tomorrow. Greg’s the founder of UN-reality.com and one of my very favorite artists. Visit his web site and you’ll find all sorts of great characters like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and many examples of his whimsical and often educational illustrations and animations.

At Allison Partners we help with the messy, complicated, wonderful people stuff. We describe our work in all sorts of ways, but I don’t think anyone on our team has ever explained what we do as well as Greg has in just 90 seconds. Enjoy!

p.s. In addition to being one of our great subcontractors, Greg is married to our Vice President, Rachel Brozenske. I'm so glad we have such talent in the Allison Partners family.

It was great to see you at #VASHRM14, Barbara. We’ll pass on your compliment to the artist!
